Jitu Patwari Criticizes Madhya Pradesh Government Over Corruption and Public Issues

Jitu Patwari targets the Madhya Pradesh government, highlighting corruption, law and order, and public grievances during his visit to Chhatarpur.

Chhatarpur, October 26 (Daily Kiran) : Jitu Patwari, the President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, visited Chhatarpur on October 26, where he received a warm welcome at the Sports Village. During his visit, he sharply criticized the state government for issues related to corruption, law and order, and various public grievances.

Patwari referenced the tragic deaths caused by toxic alcohol and contaminated water in Sagar, Morena, Dewas, Chhindwara, Balaghat, and Indore, questioning the government’s response to these incidents. He also addressed the challenges faced by farmers, including issues with fertilizer and electricity supply, inadequate crop prices, debt, and farmer suicides.

“The evidence is clear: Madhya Pradesh has become a hub for mass fatalities,” Patwari stated. He pointed out that 36 people recently died due to toxic water near Dewas, and 26 children lost their lives after consuming cough syrup in Chhindwara. He noted that Balaghat recorded the deaths of 40 children, totaling hundreds of young lives lost across these incidents. He lamented that despite the recent deaths in Sagar and Morena from toxic alcohol, the government has failed to learn from these tragedies.

Patwari also mentioned his visit to meet victims and protesters affected by the Ken-Betwa project, including a meeting with Divya Ahirwar, a protester currently in district jail. He expressed that the conditions under the current government are worse than those during British rule, citing rampant lawlessness and widespread corruption.

He announced plans to intensify the protest against the government, calling for a demonstration in Delhi on November 1. Patwari aims to mobilize 30,000 participants, including block, mandal, and panchayat officials, along with members of the Women’s Congress, Youth Congress, NSUI, and senior leaders. His statements indicate a potential escalation in political tensions within the state.
