Mumbai, May 17: The JEE Advanced 2026 engineering entrance exam is being conducted across the country today. Students have begun arriving at examination centers early in the morning, reflecting the culmination of years of hard work and dreams. While many students displayed signs of stress and anxiety, there was also a noticeable confidence in their potential for success.
One student at an examination center in Ahmedabad shared, “I have worked very hard over the past two years. I feel a bit nervous and anxious about how the exam will go. However, I am confident that my efforts will yield good results.”
In Rajkot, both students and parents exhibited significant enthusiasm regarding the exam. This year, IIT Roorkee is hosting the JEE Advanced exam. Students who succeeded in JEE Main are participating in this computer-based test.
A student in Rajkot remarked, “Today is the JEE Advanced exam. My parents have supported me immensely, and it is because of them that I have reached this point.”
Long queues of students were also seen outside examination centers in Mumbai from early morning. At Thakur College of Science and Commerce in Mumbai, a large number of students arrived to take the exam. Strict security measures were in place, and students were thoroughly screened before being allowed to enter the examination hall.
It is noteworthy that JEE Advanced is one of India’s most prestigious national engineering entrance exams. This exam paves the way for admission to the country’s leading Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other top technical institutions. Conducted as the second phase following JEE Main, it is regarded as one of the toughest competitive exams in the country.
