JD(U) MP Ramprit Mandal Comments on Pappu Yadavs Arrest and Budget Session Disruptions

New Delhi, February 8: JD(U) MP Ramprit Mandal has made significant remarks regarding the arrest of MP Pappu Yadav, the disruptions during the Parliament’s budget session, and the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections. He emphasized that the law is doing its job and urged everyone to respect constitutional processes.

In response to Pappu Yadav’s arrest, Mandal stated that Yadav, a six-time MP, understands the seriousness of the situation. He noted that if Yadav believed he had a case, he should have applied for bail earlier. Mandal reiterated that this is a matter strictly related to constitutional law and expressed hope that the court would grant bail at the appropriate time.

Mandal also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of repeatedly disrupting the proceedings during the budget session. He asserted that the country operates under the Constitution and the law. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was fully prepared to speak in the Lok Sabha, but Gandhi and his colleagues prevented him from doing so.

“This was done deliberately to project Rahul Gandhi as a significant leader,” Mandal remarked. He added, “Rahul Gandhi is not a major leader. He holds no standing against Prime Minister Modi. He disrupts parliamentary proceedings merely for TRP and to stay in the headlines.”

Regarding the West Bengal elections, Mandal stated that there is currently no official information about JD(U) fielding candidates. He promised to inform the media if the party’s executive president Sanjay provides any updates.

Discussing the political landscape in West Bengal, Mandal reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the NDA. He expressed confidence that given the current situation, the NDA is likely to achieve a significant victory and form a strong government in the state.
