Mumbai, May 3: Actress Jaya Prada visited the renowned Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Assam, on Sunday to seek blessings. She shared several pictures from her visit on her official Instagram account. In the photos, Jaya is seen posing outside the temple with a prayer plate in hand.
In her post, she expressed, “Today, I had the privilege of visiting the sacred abode of Maa Kamakhya. The immense grace and divine energy of the goddess filled my heart with peace, strength, and new inspiration.”
Jaya further prayed for blessings from Maa Kamakhya, wishing for happiness, prosperity, and well-being in life. She wrote, “My prayer is that Maa Kamakhya showers her grace on everyone and provides happiness, prosperity, and joy to all.”
The Kamakhya Temple, located in the Nilachal Hills of Guwahati, is dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya. It is also a major site for the Ambubachi Mela, celebrated annually and associated with the goddess’s menstrual cycle.
Jaya Prada will soon be seen in the film “Jai Hind, Jai Sindh – A Love Story,” directed by Indrajit Lankesh. The film features notable actors like Mahesh Manjrekar, Zarina Wahab, Vikram Kochhar, Upasana Singh, and Amit Behl in key roles.
Produced under the banner of Sameer Productions, this film is based on the rich cultural backdrop of Sindh. “Jai Hind, Jai Sindh” will portray the historical and emotional aspects of India’s partition, highlighting the experiences of the Sindhi community.
Previously, Jaya Prada visited the famous Khatu Shyam Temple in Rajasthan, sharing a video of the moment on Instagram. In the video, she appeared in a purple suit, performing rituals with deep reverence, including making a swastika with sindoor and applying tilak on her forehead.
Born in Andhra Pradesh, Jaya Prada entered the film industry at a young age. She has worked in films across various languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Her career boasts several memorable films such as ‘Sargam,’ ‘Tohfa,’ ‘Sharabi,’ ‘Sanjog,’ and ‘Aakhiri Rasta.’
