Jadeja on the Brink of a Major Milestone in IPL 2026

New Delhi, March 30: The third match of IPL 2026 is set to take place on Monday at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, featuring a clash between the Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings. Ravindra Jadeja has a golden opportunity to achieve a significant milestone in this match. If he scores just 15 runs, he will complete 4,000 runs in T20 cricket.

So far, only Hardik Pandya has accomplished the feat of 4,000 runs and 200 wickets in T20 cricket for India. If Jadeja manages to score those 15 runs against Chennai, he will become the second Indian player to reach this landmark. In his 346 T20 matches, Jadeja has accumulated 3,985 runs at a strike rate of 130, while also taking 235 wickets in this format.

In IPL 2026, Jadeja will be seen playing for the Rajasthan Royals after being traded from the Chennai Super Kings. His record in the IPL has been impressive, with 3,260 runs scored in 254 matches at a strike rate of 130, including five half-centuries. Throughout his IPL career, Jadeja has taken 170 wickets.

Currently, Jadeja ranks 10th among the highest wicket-takers in the Indian Premier League. By taking just one wicket against Chennai, he will surpass Lasith Malinga, who has also taken 170 wickets in the IPL.

In IPL 2025, Jadeja played 14 matches, scoring 301 runs at a strike rate of 135, while claiming 10 wickets at an economy rate of 8.56. The matches between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are known for their intense competition. They have faced each other 31 times in the league, with Chennai winning 16 matches and Rajasthan securing 15 victories.
