Dubai, March 9 : India’s Ravindra Jadeja returned to the top of the ICC Men’s Test All-Rounder rankings, surpassing compatriot Ravichandran Ashwin and the West Indies’ Jason Holder. As per the latest ranking released by ICC, Jadeja has 406 rating points. Holder, who is in action against England in Antigua, slipped to the second spot in the rankings with 382 points. Ashwin was placed third with 347 points. Jadeja’s stunning individual showing during the first test against Sri Lanka in Mohali helped him to regain the top spot in the rankings. The Indian all-rounder scored a sublime unbeaten 175 in the first innings to help India to a formidable 574/8 declared. He followed it up with a five-wicket haul in Sri Lanka’s first innings, and the pick of the figures in the second innings too with 4/46. Former captain Virat Kohli also became one of the significant movers in the latest rankings as he returned to the top five of the Men’s Batting Rankings, jumping ahead of Travis Head (Australia) and new India skipper Rohit Sharma. Kohli ranked fifth with 763 rating points while Rohit was placed sixth with 761. Head dropped to seventh position with 753 points. Rishabh Pant’s quickfire 96 against Sri Lanka helped him to move into the top 10 at the expense of David Warner of Australia. Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne remained the top-ranked batter in the world. There were no changes in the top 10 of the Men’s Bowling Rankings as the Australian skipper remained on top of the list followed by Indian veteran spinner Ashwin at the second spot. BAV MR
