NEW DELHI: The first match of the 13th edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played between reigning champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, according to reports on Saturday.
The IPL 2020 opener is scheduled to be played at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on March 29.
As per the reports, only the league phase dates are out and the last league game will be played on May 17. The final is slated to be held on May 24.
This time IPL has done away with the Saturday double-headers, which resulted in the addition of an extra week to the league phase. Only six double-headers have been scheduled for the season, and all will be played on Sundays.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders have shared their league phase schedule on the social media handles.
“Chinnaswammy, here we come! Block you calendars!,” RCB wrote while sharing the fixtures.
