Gaza : Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on positions of militant groups in the Gaza Strip on Sunday in response to rockets being fired from the coastal enclave.
An Israeli army spokesperson said the airstrikes were a response to three rockets being fired into southern Israel. No group has claimed responsibility for firing the rocket. In the Hamas-ruled coastal enclave, militants fired at least five rockets at southern Israeli communities close to the Gaza Strip’s borders during the airstrikes.
