
Belfast, June 26: Ireland has secured a historic victory against the Indian cricket team, winning the first T20 match by 34 runs at the Civil Service Cricket Club. This marks the first time Ireland has triumphed over India in cricket. Chasing a target of 183 runs, the Indian team was bowled out for 148 in just 18.5 overs.
The Indian innings started poorly, with early wickets falling. Samson scored only 5 runs, Ishan Kishan managed just 1, and captain Shreyas Iyer was dismissed for 3. Abhishek Sharma was the standout performer, scoring 50 runs off 20 balls, including 2 sixes and 7 fours.
Other batsmen, including Tilak Varma (19), Shivam Dube (25), and Axar Patel (15), failed to convert their starts into significant contributions. The Indian team struggled with regular wickets and ultimately fell short by 34 runs.
