Mumbai, March 5: Iranian actress Elnaz Norouzi has shared her candid views on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a recent statement, she praised Modi’s foreign policy, highlighting the strong relationships he has built with various countries. She emphasized that a leader’s primary duty is to prioritize their own nation and its people.
Norouzi commended PM Modi for fostering good relations with multiple nations. “Managing a large and populous country like India is no easy task, yet India has established strong ties with countries ranging from Islamic nations to Israel. This has been possible because India’s leadership prioritizes the safety and interests of its people,” she stated.
She further remarked, “There are international decisions with which I, as an Iranian, do not agree. However, the truth is that the country must come first. One should think about their own people first. I do not see this in Iran. Our regime does not care about us.”
Elnaz Norouzi has been a vocal critic of Iran’s current regime for a long time. She has frequently expressed her opposition to the policies of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on social media. Recently, following escalating tensions and attacks between Iran and Israel, she posted a video expressing her concerns. In that video, she stated that if any civilian is killed in this conflict, the Iranian government will be responsible.
Norouzi has previously mentioned that she cannot return to Iran due to safety concerns. Born in Iran, she moved to Germany with her family at a young age and later made her mark in the film and web series industry in India. She has appeared in series such as “Sacred Games,” “Tehran,” and “Strategy: Balakot and Beyond.”
