Bengaluru, April 23: The 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 will see Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) take on Gujarat Titans (GT) on April 24. This exciting clash is set to take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Current champions RCB started strong, securing victories against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings in their first two matches. However, they faced a setback against Rajasthan Royals. After winning against Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, RCB suffered another defeat against Delhi Capitals.
Despite this recent home loss, RCB remains one of the top teams in IPL 2026. They aim to bounce back in their last home game at M Chinnaswamy Stadium before heading to Raipur for their remaining two league matches at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium.
On the other hand, Gujarat Titans, after losing two consecutive matches against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, managed to secure wins against Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Kolkata Knight Riders. However, they faced a heavy defeat against Mumbai Indians, breaking their three-match winning streak. GT is eager to return to form, but winning at one of the most challenging venues in IPL will be a significant test.
The head-to-head record between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans has been evenly matched. In the six encounters so far, both teams have won three matches each. Their first meeting took place on April 30, 2022, where Gujarat Titans emerged victorious. The most recent match on April 2, 2025, also ended in a win for GT.
