IPL 2026: CSK Wins Toss, Opts to Bowl Against LSG with Two Changes in Pants Team

Chennai, May 10: The 53rd match of IPL 2026 is taking place at Chepauk Stadium, featuring Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and chose to bowl first.

After winning the toss, Gaikwad stated, “We will bowl first. The wicket was under covers, and it’s been raining. The pitch behaves differently during day games. We need to maintain balance and restrict the opposing team to a low score. We are quite positive given how the last 7-8 games have gone for us. There are no changes in the team.”

LSG captain Rishabh Pant expressed, “We would have opted to bowl first as well. We are trying to analyze every match. We need to show consistency. I believe we just need to play good cricket. We have had several opportunities where we didn’t perform well. That’s a learning experience for us. We are ready to give our 200 percent. There are two changes in the team with Josh Inglis and Avesh Khan returning.”

For CSK to keep their playoff hopes alive, winning this match is crucial. Meanwhile, LSG, coming off a victory against RCB, enters this match with boosted confidence and aims to maintain their winning momentum.
