
New Delhi, May 3: The 44th match of IPL 2026 took place on Saturday at Chepauk Stadium, featuring Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Mumbai Indians (MI). Led by captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and young batsman Karthik Sharma, CSK secured an impressive 8-wicket victory over MI.
CSK was set a target of 160 runs. Gaikwad scored an unbeaten 67 runs off 48 balls, while Sharma contributed an unbeaten 54 runs off 40 balls, allowing CSK to achieve the target with 11 balls to spare. This victory marked CSK’s fourth win in the season’s ninth match, propelling them to sixth place in the standings.
