Ahmedabad, April 17: The 25th match of IPL 2026 took place on Friday between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium. KKR batted first and was all out for 180 runs in 20 overs.
KKR’s innings started poorly after winning the toss. Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj without scoring. Ankurish Raghuvanshi, coming in at number three, also struggled, making just 8 runs off 4 balls before getting out. Tim Seifert faced 14 balls and scored 19 runs, leaving KKR in a precarious position at 32 for 3.
However, Rovman Powell and Cameron Green steadied the ship, adding 55 runs for the fourth wicket. Powell scored 27 runs off 20 balls before being dismissed. Anukul Roy managed 9 runs off 7 balls before falling to Prasidh Krishna. Rinku Singh also had a disappointing outing, scoring just 1 run. Ramandeep Singh contributed 17 runs off 8 balls, including 2 fours and a six.
Cameron Green, however, shone brightly, scoring a remarkable 79 runs off 55 balls, featuring 7 fours and 4 sixes. For GT, Kagiso Rabada was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for just 29 runs in his 4 overs. Siraj and Ashok Sharma each claimed 2 wickets, while Rashid Khan and Prasidh Krishna took 1 wicket each.
Gujarat Titans, led by Shubman Gill, featured Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler (wicketkeeper), Washington Sundar, Glenn Phillips, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Ashok Sharma, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna.
