IPL 2025 Points Table After 20 Matches: Delhi Capitals on Top, MI & CSK Struggle

After the completion of 20 matches, the performance of some of the leagueโs most successful teamsโMumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, both five-time championsโhas been dismal. In stark contrast, Delhi Capitals, who have never won the title, currently dominate the standings.
Delhi Capitals Unbeaten at the Top
With three wins in three games, Delhi Capitals (DC) are sitting pretty at the top of the table with a healthy net run rate (NRR) of +1.257. Their balanced performances and consistent strategy have made them the team to beat this season.
Right behind DC are the Gujarat Titans, who have notched up three wins out of four matches, followed closely by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) with the same win record but a slightly lower NRR.
Veteran Teams in Trouble
Whatโs truly surprising this season is the poor form of traditional powerhouses. Mumbai Indians (MI) have played five matches but managed to win only one, placing them at the eighth spot. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fare no better, having lost three of their four matches and sitting at ninth.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) find themselves at the bottom of the table, losing four of five matches. The combined trophy count of the bottom four teams is 12 IPL titles, yet they are failing to find form.
