Phillips, who was serving as a substitute fielder during the Titans’ game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, sustained the injury while attempting to stop a boundary. Although he hadn’t broken into the playing XI this season, his absence reduces depth in Gujarat’s bench strength, particularly in the all-rounder slot.

This marks the second foreign player exit for the Gujarat Titans in this season. Earlier, South African pacer Kagiso Rabada departed the squad due to personal reasons.
