Kolkata, April 20 : Apparently targeting the Central Government, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said industrialists should not be “disturbed” through agencies. Addressing the inaugural session of the sixth Bengal Global Business Summit here, Banerjee also said “industrialists cannot open their mouth”. Banerjee came up with his sensational remarks at te end of her speech in the presence of a large number of leading industrial figures including Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, JSW Group CMD Sajjan Jindal and RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group Chairman Sanjiv Goenka. “I want to te all the industry,” the Chief Minister said, and turned to State Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar who was seated on dias.” “And through Governor, I am not to say one word sir, if you don’t mind,” she said. With Dhankhar apparently busy chatting with some guests on the stage, Banerjee again sought his attention. Your excellency, Governor sir, for you one word on behalf of all the industrialists. … They can not open their mouth”. . She then told Dhankhar that the state was keen to get al help from the centre. “(At the) Governors’ conference, please raise it”. “And also, please see, industrialists should not be disturbed through some agencies,” she added.
