Indian Missions Worldwide Celebrate Hindi Day with Literary Events

Seoul, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Indian missions around the world marked Hindi Day on September 14, 2026, with a series of literary events and programs. In Houston, the Consulate General of India hosted a celebration dedicated to the Hindi language, featuring the participation of Minister Manohar Lal, who addressed the gathering.

The consulate shared on social media platform X, “On the occasion of Hindi Day 2026, the Consulate General of India in Houston, in collaboration with the International Hindi Association-Houston Chapter, hosted a beautiful literary gathering celebrating the richness, inclusivity, and vibrancy of the Hindi language.” They expressed gratitude to all Hindi enthusiasts, volunteers, and partner organizations whose dedication made the event truly special.

In the United Arab Emirates, the Indian Embassy celebrated Hindi Day in Abu Dhabi, partnering with Indian schools to organize poetry readings and essay competitions. The embassy posted on X, stating, “The embassy celebrated ‘Hindi Day 2026’ with Indian schools in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, featuring poetry readings, essay contests, and a Hindi quiz. Teachers and students were also honored, celebrating the beauty and creativity of Hindi.”

Meanwhile, in Bahrain, the Indian Embassy commemorated Hindi Day with poetry readings, plays, dance performances, and a Hindi quiz. The embassy noted on X, “In Bahrain, the Indian Embassy celebrated Hindi Day, where the embassy family came together to honor the richness and relevance of Hindi through poetry readings, plays, and dance performances, highlighting the enduring significance of the language. The Ambassador delivered a speech in Hindi and recognized participants, promoting the celebration and propagation of Hindi and its rich linguistic heritage.”

Additionally, the embassy highlighted the ongoing 18th BRICS Summit, emphasizing India’s leadership and commitment to strengthening cooperation among BRICS nations.
