Indian Cricket Legends Celebrate T20 World Cup Victory

New Delhi, March 9: India has triumphed in the ICC T20 World Cup final held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, marking their second consecutive victory in this prestigious tournament. The Indian team is receiving widespread congratulations following their remarkable win.

Regarded as the ‘God of Cricket,’ Sachin Tendulkar took to social media to express his joy. He noted that winning the World Cup twice in a row is a first for any team in the T20 format. “Our team has showcased an exceptional brand of cricket. Well done, Team India. Jai Hind!” he wrote.

Cricketer Virat Kohli praised the team’s extraordinary performance on X, stating, “The explosive cricket we played throughout the tournament was unmatched. The boys displayed incredible character in tough situations to become world champions again. Congratulations to all players and management. Jai Hind.”

Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh also shared his thoughts on social media, celebrating the team’s achievement. “Winning the World Cup for the second time is no easy feat; it requires character and determination. Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, this team played with great intent on the biggest stage. Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, and Abhishek Sharma were outstanding in the final. Sanju proved once again why he is a match-winner,” he wrote.

He further highlighted the contributions of Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya, who turned the game around whenever the team needed it. Jasprit Bumrah was exceptional, improving as the pressure mounted. Axar Patel made significant contributions with the ball, taking crucial wickets. Hardik, Arshdeep Singh, and Varun Chakravarthy maintained pressure throughout. Yuvraj also congratulated coach Gautam Gambhir and the entire support staff, acknowledging the hard work behind such moments. “India is once again the world champion.”

Virender Sehwag humorously remarked, “Pressure? What’s that? Our boys played as if it were a Sunday street match.” This victory marks India’s third World Cup title in the T20 format.
