INDIAN ARMY’S SOUTH WESTERN COMMAND CELEBRATES ITS 19th RAISING DAY

Jaipur : The Headquarters of the South Western Command observed its 19th Raising Day on 15 April 2023 at Jaipur. Raised on April 15, 2005, the seventh and youngest Command of Indian Army, christened as Sapta Shakti Command is eternally resolved to conform to its motto – Forever Victorious. A solemn wreath-laying ceremony was organised at the Prerna Sthal to pay homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

In his message on the occasion, Lt Gen BS Raju, GOC-in-C of the South Western Comd greeted all ranks, civilian staff, veterans and families. The Army Commander urged all ranks to re-dedicate themselves to the service of the nation and continue to perform their mandated role in a professional manner.

Over the last 18 years, Sapta Shakti Command has achieved exceptionally high standards of operational preparedness, focussed training, creating high value capabilities and infrastructure and achieving desired synergy with other services, Central Armed Police forces and civil administration. The Command has always responded promptly and effectively during natural calamites with its Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations. Sapta Shakti Command has always ensured that the welfare of Veterans & Veer Naris is meaningfully addressed.

The Army Commander, in his special order of the day, complimented all ranks for their extraordinary dedication to duty, courage and sacrifice to keep the flag of the Command, the Indian Army and the Nation flying high. He exhorted all ranks to rededicate themselves towards safeguarding the nation’s integrity and resolve to confront new challenges with exemplary professionalism and courage.
