Jammu, February 23: In a significant operation spanning 326 days in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army has successfully eliminated seven dangerous terrorists. The White Knight Corps (16 Corps) announced this development on Monday.
The White Knight Corps shared details on the social media platform ‘X’, stating, “Continuous high-altitude operations were conducted in the Kishtwar area for 326 days. The army tracked terrorists in challenging terrains amid cold, wet, and snowy weather. Numerous encounters occurred during this period. Based on robust intelligence from intelligence agencies, troops from the White Knight Corps, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF ultimately neutralized all seven notorious terrorists in the Chhatru region of Kishtwar.”
The post further elaborated, “Technology played a crucial role in the operation, with the continuous use of FPV drones, satellite imagery, RPAs/UAVs, and communication tools. The relentless efforts and determination of our forces, which resulted in the elimination of Saifullah and his associates, prove that nothing can withstand the resolve, courage, and valor of our soldiers and intelligence agencies.”
The Indian Army described this operation as a significant blow to the terrorist network, asserting, “We serve and protect.” The White Knight Corps also shared images of the deceased terrorists, marked with red crosses.
Earlier, the army had neutralized three terrorists in a joint operation. Under ‘Operation Trasi-1’, these terrorists were eliminated in Kishtwar. The White Knight Corps reported that the remains of the terrorists and their weapons were recovered. The army stated, “There is no place or refuge for those who undermine stability.”
Last year, over a dozen encounters occurred between joint forces and terrorists from the Pakistani group Jaish-e-Mohammed in the dense forests of Chhatru, Kishtwar. The Indian Army pursued the terrorists, who kept shifting their locations between the Jammu Division’s Kishtwar, Doda, Kathua, and Udhampur districts.
