New Delhi, April 26: The Indian Air Force has conducted a review of training and operational preparedness at the Hakimpet Air Force Station. This facility is known for training fighter pilots through its Fighter Training Wing and Helicopter Training School. A comprehensive assessment of the Air Force’s flying training and administrative activities was carried out, focusing on how the station maintains high standards of training and operational readiness.
The review emphasized the quality of training, technical efficiency, and effective use of resources. Senior officials also participated in the event, taking flights in Air Force aircraft. The station is part of the training command, and Air Marshal S. Srinivasan, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Air Force’s Training Command, visited Hakimpet from April 24 to 25. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by the Air Officer Commanding and presented with a formal guard of honor.
During the review, the Air Marshal conducted a thorough evaluation of ongoing flight training, maintenance, and administrative activities at the air force station. He inspected various key facilities and observed the high-level training and operational readiness. Special attention was given to the quality of training, technical efficiency, and effective resource utilization.
Air Marshal S. Srinivasan also took a flight in the Air Force’s Kiran aircraft, gaining firsthand experience of the training system and pilot proficiency. He interacted with qualified flying instructors, trainees, and other personnel at the station to understand their experiences.
Addressing the station’s personnel, the Air Marshal stated that training centers like Hakimpet play a crucial role in preparing future-ready, professional, and combat-capable pilots. He praised the station’s personnel for their significant contributions to maintaining the fleet of older and legacy aircraft.
