India Wins Toss and Opts to Bowl in Fourth T20 Against West Indies
In the fourth T20 match, India chose to bowl first after winning the toss against West Indies in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad, October 14 (Daily Kiran) : The fourth T20 International between India and West Indies is taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl first.
India has made no changes to its playing XI for this match. After winning the toss, Iyer explained, “We will bowl first. One major reason is the newly laid pitch. We have played on similar pitches before. The surface is quite hard, which should provide some bounce. We know how dangerous the West Indies can be, so we cannot afford to be careless. Our performance in the last match was commendable, and we are sticking with the same lineup.”
West Indies captain Shai Hope, after losing the toss, stated, “We would have chosen to field as well. Winning this match is crucial, and we need to bounce back. We need a solid start and clarity on how we want to play. Let’s see how it goes; everything looks good. We must play with an open mind.” The West Indies made two changes to their lineup, with Romario Shepherd and Jewel Andrew replacing Nicholas Pooran and Quinton Sampson.
India’s performance in the previous T20 was impressive. The batting order has shown good form throughout the series. Abhishek Sharma scored a powerful 69 runs off just 30 balls in the last match. Tilak Varma and Ishan Kishan have also been in great rhythm. Sanju Samson contributed significantly with 82 runs in the second T20. Axar Patel and Nitish Kumar Reddy also played crucial roles in the final overs. However, the team will be looking for better performances from their bowlers. Arshdeep Singh was effective in the last match, taking three wickets.
On the other hand, the West Indies have provided a strong challenge in this T20 series. After successfully chasing a target of 250 runs in the second T20, they scored 209 runs while chasing 224 in the third T20. Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford have been in excellent form throughout the series. Shimron Hetmyer also showed promise in the last T20. Apart from Roston Chase, the West Indies bowlers struggled to contain runs.
