Mumbai, October 20 (Daily Kiran) : India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized the growing strategic partnership between India and the UAE during a meeting in Mumbai on October 20. He welcomed Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, along with his high-level delegation.

Jaishankar expressed his pleasure at hosting the distinguished delegation, stating, “It is a great honor to welcome you and your esteemed delegation to Mumbai. After over a decade of continuous cooperation, the India-UAE relationship is truly fulfilling its promise as a comprehensive strategic partnership.”

He attributed the strengthening of ties to the leadership of both nations, highlighting significant engagements this year. These included a visit by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed in January, Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid’s participation in the AI Impact Summit and BRICS Summit in February, and Prime Minister Modi’s eighth visit to the UAE in May.

Addressing the global upheavals and challenges, Jaishankar noted how both countries continue to advance their economic partnership. Expressing concern about the situation in the Gulf region, Jaishankar affirmed India’s support for dialogue and diplomatic efforts, advocating for the free and secure flow of trade, energy, and fertilizers.
