Hamilton : India have won the toss and elected to bat against Bangladesh in a league match of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup at Seddon Park here on Tuesday. After winning the toss, India skipper Mithali Raj said: “It’s the same wicket that was used in the last game and it’s been slow and has offered turn for the spinners.
So, we’ll try to put up a good score and use the surface. We couldn’t back the bowlers as a fielding unit against Australia and we’d like to do that today.” For India, Poonam Yadav came in place of Meghna Singh. Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana said: “We would have liked to bat first too. But our bowling unit has been good. We’re looking to better our bowling and restrict them.”
Murshida replaced Shamima and Fariha Trisna made way for Lata Mondal in Bangladesh line-up.
