Mumbai, 4 January. Actor Hrithik Roshan shared an emotional post on social media to mark the birthday of Sanjay Khan, the father of his ex-wife Suzanne Khan and a noted filmmaker. In his heartfelt message, Hrithik described Sanjay Khan not only as a guide and source of inspiration but also as a person who gave unconditional love.
Hrithik recalled memories and also paid tribute to Suzanne’s late mother. He wrote that Sanjay Khan always made him feel special. “When we first met in my childhood, you said my name starting with ‘H’ meant I was destined for great success, my son,” Hrithik shared.
He said he believed those words because they came from a father. Hrithik also recounted a special piece of advice from Sanjay Khan during the early days of his acting career when he was nervous before shoots. “You told me that before every shot when the clapboard covers the face, I should compose myself, smile, softly say ‘magic time’, take a deep breath, and let go of all worries,” he wrote.
Hrithik said he still follows this advice during shoots, and it always works like magic. He praised Sanjay Khan as a pioneer of Indian television, highlighting his contribution through well-researched historical shows like ‘Tipu Sultan’, which set high standards for TV content and remains a favourite for many.
He acknowledged Sanjay Khan’s courage and determination, noting how he overcame even death’s challenges to keep moving forward. Hrithik wished that Sanjay Khan continues to guide everyone for the next 100 years. “We love you. Happy birthday, Papa,” he concluded.
He also remembered his late mother-in-law with affection, expressing, “We love and miss you very much, Maa.”
