Shimla, June 22: A golden opportunity has emerged for job seekers. The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has issued an official notification inviting applications for a total of 37 Assistant Professor positions in the Department of Medical Education and Research, across various subjects.
The vacancies include 2 positions in Orthopedics, 3 in Dermatology, 9 in General Surgery, 4 in General Medicine, 3 in Anesthesia, 2 in Biochemistry, 2 in ENT, 3 in Ophthalmology, 2 in Forensic Medicine, 5 in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and 2 in Community Medicine or Social and Preventive Medicine.
The online application process commenced on June 6, and the last date to apply is set for July 4. Candidates interested in these positions can submit their registration forms on the HPPSC official website before or by the deadline.
Applicants must possess a post-graduate degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution or university, along with three years of teaching experience. Additionally, candidates must have NET (UGC/CSIR) or an equivalent SET/SLAT qualification as a minimum eligibility criterion.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 45 years, calculated as of January 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government rules.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on application scrutiny, an objective type screening test/descriptive subject qualification exam, personal interview, document verification, and merit list. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹37,400 to ₹2,14,300, along with additional benefits and allowances.
