HP tax revenue to rise by 15 pc: CM

Shimla, March 4 : Himachal Pradesh expected to have a tax revenue to the tune of Rs 9,082 crores during 2022-23, which will be 15 per cent higher than last year, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said on Friday. He told the Assembly that Rs 7 crore would be deployed to set up cyber stations as cyber crime was going up in the state. The allowance of Home Guards has been increased and a Rs 2 crore fund has been set up for Sanskriti (Culture) Fund. A new Sanskrit versity is to be set up in the state. While a convention centre at Kullu is ready, new ones will come up in Sundernagar, Solan and Baijnath. A total of Rs 20 crore will be set aside to develop sports-related activities. The allowance for diet of sportspersons while taking part in games will be increased to Rs 400 per day from the present Rs 240. SM ML MR
