
Mumbai, May 6: Honor has unveiled its latest budget smartphone, the Honor Play 70C, alongside the Honor Play 80 Plus. This new device is designed to cater to the entry-level market.
The Honor Play 70C starts at 599 yuan (approximately $90) for the model featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There are also two additional configurations available: 4GB + 128GB priced at 699 yuan, and 6GB + 128GB at 799 yuan.

For its price, the Honor Play 70C boasts a 6.75-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 720 × 1600. The screen features a waterdrop notch that houses a 5MP front-facing camera, which is standard for this price range.
On the rear, the device includes a single 13MP main camera capable of recording 1080p video and supporting up to 10x digital zoom.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset, which can be paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is supported by a robust 5,300mAh battery.
Running on Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0, the Play 70C offers connectivity options such as dual SIM 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

While the Honor Play 80 Plus features a larger 7,500mAh battery and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, the Play 70C focuses on essential features, battery longevity, and modest performance, making it a solid choice for budget-conscious consumers.
