New Delhi, March 16: The television industry may appear glamorous from the outside, but it conceals a world of hard work and struggle. Actors often find themselves engaged in continuous shooting, sometimes working day and night. In a recent interview, TV actor Hiten Tejwani opened up about his early career struggles and his evolved perspective on life.
He recalled a time when he would work for 18 to 19 hours a day. “In the beginning, my entire focus was solely on work. I was constantly busy with shooting, barely getting any sleep, and had no time to think about anything else. There were days when I worked for almost 19 hours straight, managing only a few hours of sleep,” Hiten shared.
He emphasized his intense passion for work during that period. “I was solely focused on how to improve my craft. That dedication and relentless work ethic brought me to where I am today. If I hadn’t put in that effort back then, I might not have reached this point or sustained my career in the industry for so long.”
Over the years, Hiten’s perspective has shifted. After more than two decades in the industry, he now understands that life is not solely about work. “After working continuously for a long time, one reaches a point where the importance of balance becomes clear. I now strive to limit my working hours to ensure I have enough time for rest and family,” he explained.
Today, Hiten approaches his work with integrity and dedication, while also ensuring he does not overlook other aspects of life. “I make it a point to spend time with my family, relax, and maintain mental peace, as these are just as crucial as achieving professional success.”
During the conversation, he also offered advice to newcomers in the acting world. “Those looking to enter this industry should first understand themselves. They need to recognize their strengths and weaknesses. Once a person identifies their weaknesses, they can work towards improving them and becoming better.”
