Hemant Dwivedi Issues Strict Guidelines Ahead of Char Dham Yatra

Dehradun: Hemant Dwivedi, Chairman of the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, has issued a firm warning to those creating reels and vlogs during the upcoming Char Dham Yatra. Speaking to journalists, he emphasised the sacred nature of the pilgrimage and expressed concerns over the misuse of the sites for entertainment purposes.

“Char Dham Yatra is a centre of faith for us,” Dwivedi stated. “However, the recent trend of people coming here to shoot reels and videos for amusement is unacceptable. This behaviour disrespects the sanctity of the pilgrimage.”

He added that the government has already held meetings to address these issues and has prepared a comprehensive plan to curb such activities. Discussions are underway to implement these measures on the ground to ensure the pilgrimage remains a place of devotion.

Dwivedi further highlighted the difficulties faced by genuine pilgrims due to the increasing presence of vloggers in religious areas. “This is not only a problem at the Char Dham sites but is also observed at other religious locations across the country,” he said. “Such situations cause inconvenience to regular devotees.”

Regarding the preparations for the Char Dham Yatra, he confirmed that the government has finalised the blueprint, which will soon be executed without compromise. “Lord Badrinath’s temple doors will open on 23 April at 6 am. The opening date for Baba Kedarnath’s doors will be announced on Mahashivratri. The gates of Yamunotri and Gangotri will open on Akshaya Tritiya,” he said.

Dwivedi assured that all necessary arrangements have been completed to facilitate smooth and accessible darshan for devotees from across India and abroad. “All nodal agencies and state governments are working together to implement these plans effectively,” he added.

He also mentioned a request has been made for the deployment of central security forces during the pilgrimage to prevent any untoward incidents.
