Mumbai, April 5 : In a relief for Bollywood actor Salman Khan, the Bombay High Court on Tuesday stayed the summons issued against him by a lower court directing him and his bodyguard to remain present in the court on the day. The “Dabangg” actor was summoned following a complaint filed by TV journalist Ashok Pandey alleging that he was assaulted on April 24, 2019, when he and his cameraperson tried to record the Bollywood star riding a bicycle. The high court passed the stay order in response to a plea field by Salman challenging the lower court order. Justice Revati Dere, who initially heard the actor’s plea also stayed the criminal proceedings issued against him by the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate’s court on March 22. AAA ING
