Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated on Thursday that the state budget for 2026-27 will reflect the needs, trust, and future aspirations of the common people.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government’s priority is to prepare a budget that delivers clear development at the grassroots level and ensures that the benefits of schemes reach the public directly. The budget will focus on public expectations and the welfare of all sections of society. Special attention is being given to administrative efficiency, technological innovation, and better utilization of resources.
He added that continuous meetings are being held with various stakeholders and officials to discuss every aspect in detail towards this goal.
CM Saini chaired a review meeting with senior officials from key departments. The meeting evaluated the implementation status of announcements and schemes from the previous year’s budget.
The departments reviewed included Education, Development and Panchayat, Health, Medical Education, AYUSH, Women and Child Development, Urban Local Bodies, Revenue, Mines and Geology, Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Cooperation, Prisons, Heritage and Tourism, and Sports.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is working in the public interest and emphasized that government officials must work together with a spirit of public service. Since the government is accountable to the people, the announcements and programs included in the budget must be implemented at the ground level within the stipulated time frame.
He further said that strengthening the development and delivery of quality services in sectors such as education, health, women and child development, water resources, urban and rural development, infrastructure, and social welfare is a key government commitment. The budget will aim to accelerate the pace of development while ensuring social justice and balanced growth.
