Ahmedabad, May 13: Gujarat Titans (GT) secured a commanding victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 56th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, winning by 82 runs. This triumph propelled GT to the top of the points table with 16 points.

With 8 wins out of 12 matches, Gujarat Titans now lead the standings, while Sunrisers Hyderabad, after suffering their fifth loss in 12 matches, sits in third place. Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants have already been eliminated from playoff contention.

Batting first at Narendra Modi Stadium after winning the toss, Gujarat Titans scored 168 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. The team’s start was shaky, losing two wickets for just 26 runs. However, Sai Sudharsan partnered with Nishant Sandhu to add 38 runs for the third wicket.

Sandhu contributed 22 runs off 14 balls before returning to the pavilion. Following this, Sudharsan and Washington Sundar formed a crucial partnership, adding 60 runs for the fourth wicket off 41 balls. Sudharsan scored 61 runs from 44 balls, including 2 sixes and 5 fours. Washington then teamed up with Jason Holder to add 40 runs for the fifth wicket, scoring 50 runs off 33 balls with 1 six and 7 fours.
