Gujarat BJP Forms Core Panel to Accelerate Local Body Election Preparations

Gandhinagar, March 19: The Gujarat unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced the formation of a state-level core group, named the ‘Pradesh Sankalan Samiti,’ on Wednesday. This initiative is part of the preparations for the upcoming local self-governance elections.

State BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma made the announcement following consultations with the party’s national leadership and advisory board.

The committee includes key members such as Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Vishwakarma himself, Union Minister C. R. Patil, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, State General Secretary (Organization) Ratnakarji, Ministers Jitu Vaghani, Rishikesh Patel, Scheduled Tribe Morcha President and MLA Ganpat Singh Vasava, Minister Darshana Vaghela, former Minister Bhupendra Singh Chudasma, and former Minister I. K. Jadeja.

This announcement coincided with a state-level organizational meeting chaired by Vishwakarma at the BJP headquarters in Gandhinagar. The meeting was attended by state organization general secretary Ratnakarji, state election management committee head Gordhan Jadafiya, along with state officials, campaign heads, and district and city leaders.

According to the party’s state unit, Vishwakarma provided detailed guidance on organizational preparations and micro-planning for the elections. This includes arrangements from district and city units down to the booth level.

He stated that the party would launch a door-to-door outreach campaign. “A large army of BJP workers will connect with people, presenting the report card of the party’s work and the development initiatives undertaken in Gujarat under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel,” he said.

Vishwakarma also emphasized the need to strengthen internal coordination. While discussing pre-election preparations with leaders at the district, city, and mandal levels, he remarked, “Communication, outreach, and coordination should be further strengthened through travel, public relations, and hard work.”
