Mumbai, February 10: A shocking incident has emerged in the Santa Cruz area of Mumbai, creating a wave of fear among residents. Police discovered a headless body of a young man inside a bag near the Juhu Koliwada beach.
The discovery of the body sparked chaos in the vicinity. Upon receiving the report, police quickly cordoned off the area and initiated an investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that the victim was brutally murdered, with his head severed from the body, likely to conceal his identity before the remains were discarded in the sea. The Santa Cruz police have registered a case against unidentified individuals under sections 103(1) and 238 of the BNS.
According to police, a special operation is underway to identify the body. During this investigation, reports surfaced about a missing person from the Malvani area of Malad. Further inquiries led to the identification of the deceased as Anil Gaud, 30, who had been missing since January 29. Notably, Gaud’s wife filed a missing person’s report only six days later, on February 4.
The delay in reporting his disappearance has raised suspicions among investigators. Consequently, police have taken Gaud’s wife into custody for questioning. Currently, they are interrogating her, along with family members, relatives, and close friends of the deceased.
Additionally, police are meticulously examining Gaud’s last activities, mobile call records, financial transactions, and personal relationships. They are trying to determine whether family disputes, financial issues, or other criminal motives led to the murder. The investigation is being pursued from multiple angles, and police officials claim that significant and shocking revelations related to this gruesome murder are expected soon.
