
New Delhi, June 3: A team of six IAS officers, currently serving as assistant secretaries in the Indian government, visited Greater Noida on Tuesday to assess the ongoing development of the Smart Industrial Township, Multi-Modal Logistics Hub (MMLH), and Multi-Modal Transport Hub (MMTH) projects.
The officials held discussions with senior members of the Greater Noida Authority to gain detailed insights into various development initiatives and conducted on-site inspections of the projects.
During a meeting at the Greater Noida Authority office, CEO N.G. Ravi Kumar, along with Additional CEO Shree Lakshmi V.S. and Prerna Singh, welcomed the visiting IAS officers, which included Ayushi Pradhan, Benjo P. Jose, Fadtare Anitesh Ashok, Priya Rani, Saloni Chhabra, and Jufishan Haq.
CEO N.G. Ravi Kumar elaborated on the operational strategies of industrial development authorities, land acquisition processes, infrastructure development, and investment attraction strategies. He emphasized that the primary goal of providing land to industries from farmers is to enhance employment opportunities and accelerate economic growth. He also advised the officers to prioritize job creation in future initiatives.
Additional CEO Prerna Singh reported that over 30 major companies have been allocated land in the Integrated Industrial Township. Several prominent industrial units are being established, with companies like Hired already commencing operations. These companies have collectively invested around ₹10,000 crores, generating direct employment for approximately 23,000 youths.
Meanwhile, Additional CEO Shree Lakshmi V.S. provided details on the state-of-the-art facilities available in the Smart Industrial Township. She highlighted the implementation of an automatic waste collection system, 24/7 electricity and water supply, and advanced security measures. Furthermore, she presented plans for the integrated development of rail, metro, and bus terminals under the Multi-Modal Transport Hub.
After the meeting, the IAS officers conducted a ground inspection of the IITGNL Township, MMLH, and MMTH projects, closely observing the infrastructure being developed. Members of the IITGNL team were also present during the inspection. The officials praised the progress of the projects and the modern facilities, deeming them a significant model for the country’s industrial development.
