Prayagraj, September 2: The ISKCON Temple in Prayagraj is bustling with preparations for Janmashtami. This year, the celebrations are set to be particularly grand. Special outfits and jewelry worth approximately three lakh rupees have been crafted by skilled artisans from Vrindavan for the adornment of Lord Krishna and Radha Rani.
The temple complex will be beautifully decorated for the occasion. Colorful lights and fragrant flowers will enhance the festive atmosphere. Decoration work is progressing rapidly as the temple management finalizes the arrangements for the event.
On Janmashtami, the special adornment of Lord Krishna and Radha Rani will be a major attraction for devotees. The outfits and jewelry, specially designed by artisans from Vrindavan, have been prepared with the festival in mind.
Various religious and cultural programs will be held during Janmashtami at the temple. Devotees will have the opportunity to witness captivating tableaux depicting the life and pastimes of Lord Krishna. Cultural events will also be organized.
A special Mahabhishek and various rituals will take place in the temple complex to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna. Special prayers and religious programs are planned for the night of Janmashtami, coinciding with the time of Lord Krishna’s birth.
A large number of devotees are expected to visit the ISKCON Temple in Prayagraj for the celebrations. Devotees from the city and surrounding areas will flock to the temple to partake in the festivities.
In consideration of the devotees’ convenience, the temple management is finalizing arrangements for the event. Preparations for security, darshan, and crowd management are also underway. The temple management has announced that this year, a four-day Janmashtami festival will be celebrated. The Jhulan Utsav will take place on September 3, followed by the midnight birth celebration on September 4. On September 5, the Nand Utsav will be observed, along with the worship of Acharya Choupal Ji, and a special celebration for the youth is scheduled for September 6. Special outfits adorned with jewels from Vrindavan are being sourced for the occasion.
