
Beijing, July 1: A grand assembly was held in Beijing’s Great Hall of the People to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC).
General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, Xi Jinping, awarded medals to the recipients of the party’s highest honor, the July 1 Medal, and delivered an important speech.
Xi Jinping congratulated all CPC members on this occasion. He paid tribute to those working across various fronts and sectors and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people and friends from different countries who support the Chinese revolution, construction, and reform, fostering friendly coexistence with the Chinese people.
He stated that for 105 years, the CPC has remained committed to the happiness of the Chinese people and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The party has united and led various ethnic groups in continuous struggle, writing the most magnificent epic in thousands of years of Chinese history.
In his speech, Xi emphasized the need for all CPC members to strengthen their faith and strive for new achievements that would not disappoint the era and the people.
He highlighted the importance of adhering to the party’s fundamental policies and relying on the people to complete great historical tasks. Xi urged active responses to various threats and challenges present on the path and called for the construction of a community with a shared future for humanity. He stressed the necessity of strict party management.
Xi also mentioned the need to accelerate the building of a world-class military and firmly safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests, while contributing more to global development.
Regarding the Taiwan issue, Xi stated that resolving the Taiwan question and completing the reunification of the motherland is the party’s unwavering historical task and the common aspiration of all Chinese people.
