Patna, April 14 : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday said the state government was on alert to handle cases of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) being reported from Muzaffarpur and other parts of the state. Kumar told media persons here that state government was on high alert to handle cases of AES and its proper treatment. Administration and doctors had been issued instructions to ensure proper treatment of AES cases in Muzaffarpur and other districts of Bihar, he added. Chief Minister responding to a query of media persons said that state government had been making all efforts to reduce the number of AES cases and their treatment since long. Basic infrastructure and treatment facilities had also been made available for AES cases, he noted. Earlier, Kumar paid rich tributes to Baba Saheb Bheem Rao Ambedkar whose efforts for welfare and development of all sections of the society could never be forgotten. Baba Saheb had also played vital role in preparing constituition of India, he noted. KKS BM
