Panaji, March 16 : Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other on ministers in Delhi on Wednesday. In a tweet, the Chief Minister said during the meeting he briefed the Prime Minister about the party’s victory in the recently held assembly elections. “Briefed the PM on BJP’s resounding success in the Goa Assembly Polls, 2022. The PM conveyed his gratitude to the people of Goa for reposing their trust & faith in BJP and assured his continued support for the development of the State,” Dr Sawant said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed party’s gratitude towards the people of Goa for blessing it yet again with the clear manadate to serve the state. ”Met @DrPramodPSawant and the team of @BJP4Goa. Our party is grateful to the people of Goa for blessing us yet again with the mandate to serve the state. We will keep working for Goa’s progress in the times to come,” the Prime Minister tweeted. Later, Dr Sawant called upon on Home Minister Amit Shah, on Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, on Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines Pralhad Joshi and on Minister For Culture, Tourism And Development Of North Eastern Region (DoNER) G Kishan Reddy. In a series of tweets, the Chief Minister said, ”Called on on Minister for Road Transport and Highways @nitin_gadkari ji, along with @BJP4Goa President @ShetSadanand.” ”Called on the Hon’ble on Home Minister @AmitShah ji in New Delhi today, along with National General Secretary @CTRavi_BJP ji, BJP Goa President @ShetSadanand ji & Gen Sec Org Satish Dhond ji,” he said. “Visited on Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines, @JoshiPralhad Ji at Parliament today along with Smt @DarshanaJardosh Ji and @DrPramodPSawant Ji,” he said. ”CM of Goa @DrPramodPSawant ji along with @BJP4Goa President, @ShetSadanand ji paid a visit to my Parliament office today. Congratulated them on the victory in Assembly elections and wished them well in serving the people of Goa,” Pralhad Joshi said. In almost all the meetings, the Chief Minister was accompanied by Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary C T Ravi, party’s Goa t General Secretary and General Secretary (organization) Satish Dhond. Dr Sawant had left for New Delhi on Tuesday. The current visit of the Chief Minister to the national capital has assumed significance as the party has been unable to form government in spite of winning 20 seats in the assembly elections. It is being speculated that rift between Dr Sawant and former health minister Vishwajit Rane is the reason behind the delay. However, party state president Sadanand Shet Tanavade has denied it. BJP’s legislature party is yet to meet. The party has appointed two observers for the election of the legislature party. AKM RKM
