GMRCL Job Alert: 383 Vacancies Including Junior Engineer Positions Announced

Gandhinagar, May 1: The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRCL) has officially announced the recruitment of 383 positions in the Operations and Maintenance department for the Ahmedabad and Surat Metro.

Among the 383 vacancies, there are 89 Station Controller/Train Operator (SC/TO) positions, 4 Junior Engineer (JE) – Electrical roles, 38 Junior Engineer (JE) – Electronics positions, 22 Maintainer (MNT) – Fitter roles, 129 Maintainer (MNT) – Electrical positions, and 101 Maintainer (MNT) – Electronics roles.

The online application process commenced on April 29, with the deadline set for May 28. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their application forms on the official website before the deadline. The last date for submitting the application fee is May 31.

Candidates must possess a relevant engineering diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or Electronics and Communication from a recognized institution or university. Additionally, candidates should have completed SSLC and hold a two-year ITI in Fitter, Electrical, or Electronics. Other eligibility criteria and skills are also mandatory.

The minimum age for applicants is 18 years, while the maximum age ranges from 25 to 28 years, calculated as of April 29. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a written exam, psychometric aptitude test, document verification, and a medical examination. Selected candidates will receive a stipend ranging from ₹14,000 to ₹18,000 during training, with a post-training salary between ₹16,000 and ₹20,000 per month. The written examination is expected to take place in June or July.

When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online. The fee is set at ₹600 for unreserved (male) candidates and ₹300 for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/SEBC/EWS/women and ex-servicemen.

Fill in all the required information in the form and attach the necessary documents. Finally, pay the registration fee and submit the form. It is advisable to print a copy of the application form for future reference.
