Giriraj Singh Criticizes Opposition, Calls Alliance a Thugbandhan

New Delhi, June 8: Central Minister Giriraj Singh has launched a scathing attack on the Congress party and opposition leaders during a discussion on the India Alliance meeting and various political issues. He questioned Congress leadership regarding Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s remarks about discrimination against South India, alleging that the opposition is attempting to divide the nation on regional lines.

In an interview with a news agency, Singh stated that Congress is in a state of despair, and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi is trying to incite the youth of the country. He accused CM Rao of engaging in divisive politics between North and South India. Singh challenged Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to respond to these allegations, asserting that the President, Vice President, and Home Minister come from different regions but represent the entire nation. Thus, claims of regional discrimination are baseless.

Regarding the India Alliance meeting, Singh remarked that it is not a coalition but a ‘thugbandhan.’ He claimed that many parties in the alliance exist only on paper and have lost their grassroots support. He accused Congress of promoting dynastic politics, stating that the party cannot move beyond family ties and is incapable of competing with Prime Minister Narendra Modi alone.

Singh also targeted RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s statements, asserting that the era of booth capturing is over and that the public now makes its decisions democratically. He accused opposition leaders of being desperate for power.

On speculation about the support of 20 TMC MPs for the NDA, Singh noted that political representatives are looking towards their future, and the public is demanding accountability. He claimed that the influence of Mamata Banerjee’s TMC is steadily declining and that the party is going through a crisis.

In response to former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s recent comments, Singh criticized Congress’s old operational style of ‘use and throw.’ His statements have intensified the blame game in political corridors.
