Garden Reach Shipbuilders soars on signing contract with Ministry of Defence

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers is currently trading at Rs. 461.60, up by 29.85 points or 6.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 431.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 463.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 474.05 and Rs. 458.60 respectively. So far 19440 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 556.80 on 09-Dec-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 207.75 on 20-Jun-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 474.05 and Rs. 398.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4945.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.50%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.07% and 15.43% respectively.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) has signed a contract with the Ministry of Defence for construction of 04 Next Generation offshore Patrol Vessels (NGOPV). The Total Project Cost of 04 GRSE Vessels is around Rs 3,500 crore. The first ship is to be delivered within 44 months from the contract signing date i.e. March 30, 2023. The subsequent ships are to be delivered at six months’ interval period from the delivery of the previous ship.
