Panaji, March 20 : Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday thanked the people of the state for their support as he completed three years in office. In a tweet, the chief minister said during his tenure he focused on human as well as infrastructure development of the state. He said the coastal state had seen great progress and development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ”Today, I complete 3 years in the Office as Chief Minister. Goa has seen great progress and development under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji. In these 3 years, I have focused on human as well as infrastructure development in the State. I would like to thank the people of Goa for their continued support and for reposing their trust in us by giving a decisive mandate in favour of #BJP,” he said in the tweet. Assembly elections in Goa were held on February 14 and results were announced on March 10. However, as the Bharatiya Janata Party has not formed a government, Dr Sawant has been appointed as caretaker chief minister of the state by Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai. Dr Sawant was sworn-in as chief minister of Goa after the demise of then chief minister Manohar Parrikar in 2019. AKM ACL1224
