ted Nations/New Delhi, March 23 : Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla, who is in the ted Nations, on Wednesday met the UAE Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Almarar and held talks on further strengthening bilateral ties. The Foreign Secretary also addressed the UN Security Council meeting on ‘Cooperation between UN and Regional Organisations (League of Arab States (LAS)’ today. The MEA spokesperson in tweets said, Foreign Secretary Shringla met the UAE Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Almarar today on the sidelines of the UNSC meeting on cooperation between UN and League of Arab States (LAS). “Congratulated him on the UAE’s successful Presidency of the UNSC and the adoption of the Presidential Statement by UNSC on UN-LAS cooperation. “Also held excellent discussions on further strengthening bilateral ties between India and the UAE.” The Foreign Secretary also met Dr. Atul Khare, Under Secretary General Department of Operational Support of the ted Nations. “As one of the largest troop contributing countries to UN Peacekeeping Operations, reaffirmed India’s steadfast commitment to UN Peacekeeping.” RN
