To raise awareness about liver health, World Liver Day is celebrated annually on April 19. Experts suggest that certain fruits and leaves can significantly benefit liver health. From amla to papaya, these fruits serve as a boon for the liver.
According to the Ministry of AYUSH, adopting Ayurvedic knowledge and mindful eating can strengthen the liver. On World Liver Day, the ministry advises people to care for their liver through proper diet and natural remedies.
Experts recommend incorporating these fruits and leaves into your daily diet. Consume fresh fruits, drink juices, or add them to salads. Additionally, avoid fried foods, junk food, and excessive alcohol. Regular exercise and adequate sleep are also essential for liver health.
Amla: Known as the liver’s best friend, amla is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which help detoxify the liver. Daily consumption of amla or amla juice keeps the liver healthy.
Papaya: This fruit enhances digestion and helps eliminate toxins stored in the liver. It also aids in reducing liver inflammation.
