Four from Noida Killed in Collision on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Dausa

Four people from Noida died and one was injured in a road accident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Dausa district, Rajasthan. The crash occurred early Tuesday morning near pillar number 193 in the Paparda Police Station area at around 5:30 am.

A speeding car collided with a truck, resulting in the car getting trapped under the truck and dragged for nearly eight kilometres along the expressway. The impact was severe, leaving the car badly damaged and the occupants trapped inside.

Rescue teams and police had to work hard to extract the bodies from the wreckage. According to DSP Deepak Meena of Nangla Rajawatan (Dausa), the victims were five pilgrims from Noida returning home after visiting the Mahakal temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

The deceased have been identified as Rahul Gupta (35), Paras Agarwal (35), Prince Gupta (23), and Vikram Singh (30), all residents of Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The fifth passenger, Brijmohan Gupta, seated at the rear, sustained minor injuries and was admitted to the district hospital in Dausa.

The car, bearing Haryana registration, was travelling from Lalsot towards Delhi when it hit the truck near Aluda village in the Rahuwas Police Station area. The front part of the car was completely crushed due to the high speed, and it became lodged under the truck.

Police officials from Paparda Police Station said the truck driver was initially unaware of the collision, which caused the car to be dragged all the way to the police station area. Police and expressway rescue teams arrived promptly and separated the car from the truck after considerable effort.

The accident caused a temporary traffic disruption on the expressway. Normal movement resumed after the damaged vehicles were cleared from the road. The police have stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
