Four Arrested in Ajmer for Misconduct Against Israeli Tourist After Viral Video

Ajmer, September 29 (Daily Kiran) : Rajasthan police have arrested four individuals in Ajmer for allegedly misbehaving with an Israeli tourist. The arrests came after a video surfaced on social media showing the suspects harassing the woman at the Kishangarh dumping yard, a popular tourist spot in the area.

Authorities reported that the video, which gained traction online, prompted a quick response from the Gandhinagar police. Based on a report from Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajkumar, a case was filed and an investigation was launched.

Following the incident, a police team was formed under the supervision of Dr. Ravi, the Inspector General of Police for the Ajmer range, and District Superintendent of Police Harshvardhan Agarwal. The operation was led by Anil Sharma, the Gandhinagar Station House Officer, with additional oversight from Additional SP (Rural) Dr. Lalchand Kayal and Kishangarh Circle Officer Dharmaraj Chaudhary.

SP Harshvardhan Agarwal stated that the police team identified the four suspects through technical analysis and tips from a reliable informant. The suspects, all residents of Kishangarh, have been identified as Mohammad Furqan (25), Mohammad Anis (21), Farhan (24), and Akhtar Ali (22).

Authorities are currently questioning the suspects about their roles in the incident, as well as the circumstances surrounding the recording and dissemination of the video. The suspects claimed that the footage is three years old but only recently went viral.

In the meantime, the Israeli tourist expressed her love for India in a message, stating she had spent six months in the country. Despite the unpleasant incident, she expressed her desire to return to India and thanked the Rajasthan police for taking action against the offenders.

Ajmer police have emphasized their commitment to taking strict legal action against anyone whose actions threaten the safety and dignity of tourists or disrupt public order.
