Dehradun, May 19: Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Major General (Retired) Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri passed away on Tuesday. He breathed his last at Max Hospital in Dehradun at the age of 91, after a prolonged illness.

During his tenure, he took a strong stance against corruption and implemented significant measures to establish transparent and disciplined governance in the state.

His death has sent shockwaves through the political and social landscape. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his condolences. As a public leader, he made several crucial decisions for the state’s progress and earned a special place in the hearts of the people through his simplicity, candor, and efficiency.
